SELF-SERVICE
HOW CAN I RETRIEVE MY SELF-SERVICE USER ID?
From the Self-Service page, click Self-Service on Forgot your user name. You will be directed to fill in your name and email address.
WHAT IS MY INITIAL SELF-SERVICE PASSWORD?
The initial default password is your birthday in a MMDDYY format. You will be required to change it during your initial login.
HOW CAN I RETRIEVE MY SELF-SERVICE PASSWORD?
From the Self-Service page, click Self-Service Forgot your password. You will be directed to fill in your user name and email address.
NETWORK/ACTIVE DIRECTORY LOGIN
1. What does the Network/Active Directory Login access?
A. The Network/Active Directory Login ID provides access to campus computers, E-Mail, GCNet (Employees Only), GC wireless network and Helpdesk.
2. What is my Network/Active Directory Login User Name?
A. Your Network/Active Directory Login User Name is the same as your Self-service User Name.
3. How do I obtain my Network/Active Directory Login Password?
A. Your Network/Active Directory password will be sent to your supervisor once set-up is complete.
PRINT MANAGEMENT
1. What is Print Management?
A. Print Management is a service instituted by Gaston College to significantly lower the cost and environmental impact of printing in computer labs and the libraries.
2. How do I obtain my username and password for printing?
A. Your supervisor must complete a Print / Copier Access Form.
3. What is the cost for printing?
A. Black and White copies cost $.10 per copy and Color copies cost $.35 per copy.
4. How am I charged?
A. Each month departmental deans receive a report for their departments and an invoice sent to Accounts Payable.
5. Who should I talk to regarding issues/concerns with printing?
A. Any questions concerning charges, technical and non-technical matters, contact the Technology Services Office by phone at (704)-922-6420 or in person in the Comer Engineering Technology Building, room 11.
6. How do I print to any Toshiba copier?
A. Print to the Toshiba Follow me Printing on GCPRINTSRV.
