This customized trip for Gaston College includes breakfast, welcome and farewell dinners, housing and transportation.
Each day will begin with an excursion into the surrounding area, followed by an instructor-led session.

Day 1 – Sunday, May 18
Departure from Charlotte
Day 2 – Monday, May 19
Arrive in Athens, Greece; Orientation Walking Tour; Welcome dinner
Day 3 – Tuesday, May 20
Athens Historical and Cultural Walking Tour; Visit Acropolis Hill and New Acropolis Museum
Day 4 – Wednesday, May 21
Cooking Class and food tasting; Travel to Delphi with en route stop in Arachova
Day 5 – Thursday, May 22
Visit to the Sanctuary of Apollo; Museum and Sanctuary of Athena; Travel to Nafplion with en route stop in Nafpaktos
Day 6 – Friday, May 23
Mycenae walking tour; Visit to Epidaurus Theatre (free time in Nafplion)
Day 7 – Saturday, May 24
Travel to Santorini by bus and ferry
Day 8 – Sunday, May 25
Panoramic coach tour of Santorini
Day 9 – Monday, May 26
Free morning in Santorini; transfer to Athens
Day 10 – Tuesday, May 27
Excursion to Cape Sounion; swim at Lake Vouliagmeni; visit to Temple of Poseidon at Cape Sounion

Program Cost: $4,500-$5,675 (final cost is determined by number of participants)

Payment Information:
- Make a trip deposit of at least $600 by Tuesday, Nov. 19, 2024, to secure your spot on the trip.
- Pay 50% of the remaining balance by Monday, Feb. 10, 2025.
- The final payment of the remaining balance is due by Monday, March 10, 2025.
How to apply:
Step 1: Complete the interest form.
Step 2: We recommend that you have been vaccinated or have had a booster shot for Covid-19. Make copies of your shot records.
Step 3: If you do not have a passport, fill out the paperwork and get it submitted. It takes several weeks/months to get a passport back. Passports must be valid until at least six months after the trip.
Step 4: Make a $600 deposit at the College Business Office to hold your spot by Jan. 2, 2025. This will be applied to the total program cost ($100 of the deposit is non-refundable). Payments can be made in person or over the phone by calling 704.922.6435.
Step 5: Register for the HUM 120 course for Spring 2025. All participants must register for this class.
